UGANDAN PARLIAMENT COMMENDS ZNBC

The Ugandan Parliament Committee on ICT and National Guidance has commended ZNBC for successfully implementing digital migration.

Committee Chairperson Paul Amoru says Uganda is currently in the process of setting up a television station that will carry live parliamentary debates and is in Zambia to learn from the National Broadcaster to be able to replicate the idea.

Mr. Amoru says ZNBC has assisted the Zambian parliament fulfill its mandate to take parliament closer to the people by providing a fiber platform to carry signals across the country.

He was speaking when he paid a courtesy call on ZNBC Director General Malolela Lusambo at Mass Media Complex today.

And Mr. Lusambo said the national broadcaster has remained the channel of choice because it has maintained high levels of professionalism as it carries out its operations.

He said the digital migration platform has provided room for expansion and enabled improved services.
