TSHESEKEDI EXTOLS FALLEN ZAMBIAN LEADERS

By ZANIS:Democratic Republic of Congo -DRC- President Felix Tshisekedi has extolled the three fallen Zambian late Presidents for the contribution they made to the African continent.President Tshisekedi penned a message in French to give homage to the three late Presidents who are buried at the Embassy Park Memorial burial site in Lusaka.The visiting President described the three fallen Zambian head of states as dignified figures who made great contribution to the African continent.Mr. Tshisekedi who is in the country for a two-day state visit, visited the Presidential memorial park and laid wreaths on the mausoleum of late President Michael Sata, Levy Mwanawasa and Fredrick Chiluba.President Tshisekedi who is undertaking his first visit to Zambia since ascending to office on January 25, 2019, was received at the burial site by Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Malanji and Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo.President Tshisekedi also took time to pose for some photographs in front of the mausoleums after laying wreaths before departing for state house where he was being awaited to hold talks with President Edgar Lungu.Mr. Tshisekedi will fly out to Ndola on the Copperbelt tomorrow Friday morning to officiate at the 55th edition of the Zambia International Trade Fair.President Tshisekedi is the Fifth President of the DRC, having ascended to office in January this year after winning a tightly contested and delayed national election, to find a successor to President Joseph Kabila.
