TRUCK LOADED WITH FERTILISER IMPOUNDED

 

(ZANIS) Police in Mumbwa, Central province, have impounded a truck, carrying 600 by 50 kilogramme bags of Urea fertiliser, which was allegedly destined for Kasumbalesa.

The truck was intercepted at Kapyanga security check point by police officers, after scrutinising the delivery note, which had the name of the buyer and the destination.

Kapyanga Police Check Point Officer In-Charge, MUNDIA MAKOMANI told ZANIS that the driver of the truck claimed not to know the buyer of the fertiliser.

And, Central Province Permanent Secretary, MILNER MWANAKAMPWE has disclosed that the seller, identified as TREVOR KAMBASA, claims he buys the fertiliser off the black market.
