TRUCK KILLS ONE, INJURES 4 IN LUANGWA

One trader has died while four others have been injured after a truck rammed into make-shift stalls at the Luangwa bridge market on the Great East Road in Rufunsa.

The driver of the Volvo truck allegedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the truck first hitting into four vehicles, which were parked at the trading site before plunging into the stalls.

The accident happened this morning, around 08 hours.

Rufunsa District Commissioner, Judith Chama who rushed to the accident scene identified the deceased as Diamond Mumba, who was pronounced dead at Katondwe Mission Hospital.
