Tribal hate speech lands Kambwili in jail

Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI has been sentenced to FIVE months imprisonment with hard labour for using hate speech.

Senior Resident Magistrate SAMSON MUMBA passed judgment today in Kasama

This is in a case where Mr KAMBWILI was charged with the offence of expressing hatred and ridicule to the people of Southern Province based on tribe and place of origin.

Mr KAMBWILI, 54, has since been taken to MILIMA Correctional Facility in Kasama.
