By Lomphande Muzumi

Transparency international-TIZ-Zambia chapter President Reuben Lifuka has suggested that the anti-corruption commission-ACC- investigate the real estate sector as a whole.

Reacting to an announcement by ACC that criminal investigations into the case were 48 housing units were forfeited to the state are still active, Mr Lifuka feels there is a lot of corruption in the real estate that is not reported.

In an interview with Phoenix News, Mr Lifuka explains that while the decision by the ACC is welcome to investigate and establish the owner of the 48 flats, it is important for the commission to investigate the entire sector.

Yesterday, ACC said criminal investigations into the case were 48 housing units were forfeited to the state are still active.

This follows concerns from various stakeholders who have been calling for the commission to unveil the findings of the investigations which were instituted to establish the owner of the flats.
