Thieves break into ECL’s house

Masauso Mkwayaya-Unknown people have broken into former President EDGAR LUNGU’s House in Lusaka’s Ibex Hill area.

Police say the unknown people have stolen two smart television sets valued at K66,000.

Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA says the break in happened in the early hours of today between 01-hours and 06-hours.

Mr. HAMOONGA says Ibex Hill Police Station received a report of a break-in from a Mr. MAYONDI, of Kabwata Site and Service who is attached to the former President’s residence from the Police Protective Unit.

And Mr. HAMOONGA says the unknown people gained entry through the back of the House by climbing the Wall Fence where they also cut the electric wire.

He says Police visited the scene and have since instituted investigations into the matter.

This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News in Lusaka .
