President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says there is need to retain and enhance the quality of medical professionals being produced in the country.

Speaking when he officiated at the Zambia Medical Association – ZMA- Conference in Livingstone, President HICHILEMA said the polarisation of training schools in the country has adversely affected the quality of staff in the health sector.

He said there is need for the ZMA to help in ensuring that the training schools conform to the standards and uphold quality.

And President HICHILEMA has promised to continue revamping the health sector.

Speaking at the same conference, Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO thanked President HICHILEMA for giving priority to the health sector.
