The FIFA convened meeting between FAZ and aggrieved parties set for Thursday

The long-awaited FIFA convened meeting between the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and aggrieved parties will finally take place this Thursday.

According to a press statement by FAZ Communications manager Sydney Mungala availed to the ZamFoot Crew, The world football governing body has confirmed that the meeting will take place on Thursday, 5th October between 10:00hrs and 12:00hrs swiss time. Ten people are expected to attend the meeting.

“The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) wishes to inform the football family and all stakeholders that world football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed Thursday, 5th November 2020, as date for the meeting between FAZ and the aggrieved parties.

The FIFA meeting will be held via video conference from 10:00hours – 12:00 hours (Swiss time) and is expected to be attended by 10 invited participants.”

All parties have been communicated directly by FIFA.

The ten participants are Sports minister Emmanuel Mulenga, permanent secretary Joe Kapembwa, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga, FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala, and Director of Sport, John Zulu.

Others are the National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Chairperson Patrick Mutimushi and his acting general secretary Raphael Mulenga. The aggrieved parties on electoral complaints will be represented by Damiano Mutale, Patson Lusaka, and Ricky Mamfunda.

The agenda of the meeting includes remarks from the football governing body, the sports minister, NSCZ, aggrieved parties, response by FAZ and the way forward, and the closing remarks, which will be made by FIFA.
