Teachers’ Body Renews PF Backing

The Professional Teachers Union has leapt ahead of the queue to endorse President Edgar Lungu for the 2021 elections.

Union secretary general Kangwa Musenga has said in a statement that his organization will not backtrack on their endorsement of President Lungu.

The statement comes way ahead of the endorsement and counter endorsement drama that floods the Zambian political scene.

Musenga said the union affiliation with the PF stems from the PETUZ’s 2010 resolution.

“The union leadership has not shifted its 2010 resolution to support the Patriotic Front government on various member employer conflicts as it shall remain a viable partner,” Musenga said.
