TCZ threaten to deregister teachers found engaging in exam malpractice

vlcsnap-2018-10-08-07h04m05s435The teaching council of Zambia (TCZ) has threatened to deregister teachers that will be found engaging in examination malpractice during examinations.

TCZ Registrar Dr Ebby Mubanga has also warned teachers in a habit of engaging themselves in examination malpractice across the country to desist from cheating or face the full wrath of the law.

He says this development has a negative effect on the quality of certificate held by the students after their studies.

Dr. Mubanga adds that as a professional body it will not allow its teachers to get involved in malpractices.

He has however expressed sadness that some parents encourage their children to participate in examination malpractice by sponsoring them to buy examination papers.

Dr Mubanga has appealed to both parents and teachers to ensure that their children get quality education by avoiding getting involved in examination malpractice.

vlcsnap-2018-10-08-07h04m25s526And Secondary Schools Teachers Union of Zambia (SESTUZ) General Secretary, Sitibekiso Wamuyuwa has called on students not to indulge in examination malpractices that would mar their reputation and future.

He tells qtv news says whoever cheats, when caught should be exposed to the rigors of the law.

Mr. Wamuyuwa feels that some parents often induce teachers to help their children to cheat in examinations.

He has advised students to learn very hard in order to achieve academic success.

Mr. Wamuyuwa says they should also draw closer to god diligently and take their studies with vim instead of resorting to foul means to pass examinations.
