Survey By Farmer Union Reveals FRA Is The Only Market Player Offering Competitive Maize Price

The National Union of Small-Scale Farmer Of Zambia -NUSFAZ- says a recently conducted survey on the price of maize shows that the Food Reserve Agency –FRA- is the only market player that is offering competitive maize prices.
Union Executive Director Ebony Lolozhi says the survey also shows that private sector market players are not active leaving only the food reserve agency
And Mr. Lolozhi has told Phoenix News in an interview that union members currently have no limit on how much quantity of maize to supply to FRA.
FRA is buying a 50kg bag of white maize at K150 in the 2021/2022 crop marketing season.
