Struggling Nchanga Rangers host improved Nkwazi

Nchanga Rangers started their 2022/2023 MTN Super League campaign on a good note winning three and drawing one in their opening four matches. 

However, since their first loss of the season last month away in Mazabuka, The Chingola based outfit has yet to recover. 

As week 10 comes alive, Brave welcome rejuvenated Nkwazi at the Nchanga Stadium but there will be no fans in the stands as they are serving a five match spectators ban following club trouble in the 1-1 draw with Nkana. 

Nchanga Rangers are winless in their last five games losing three and drawing two, picking up only two points from a possible 15 points. 

Nkwazi on the other hand have seen their fortunes turn around. The Police sponsored outfit endured a difficult start to the season but are now unbeaten in their last five games. 

With Justin Shonga back at Edwin Imboela Stadium, Tenant Chilumba has a proven goalscorer to lead his attack today in Chingola. 

The former Orlando Pirates man has already notched up 3 goals since his return including a brilliant free kick against Chambishi last weekend. 

Robert Tembo is under pressure in Chingola with some sections of fans and the Exco calling for his head already. 

Tembo will have to mastermind something special this afternoon to help his chances of remaining at the helm of the Chingola based giants. 

Skipper Christian Saile, Kunda Nkandu, Pedro Miguel and Logic Ching’andu will need to come to the party if the hosts are to find a way past a resilient Nkwazi side. 

In the past the matches between the two teams have been very close to call with Nkwazi winning seven and Nchanga six in their last eighteen meetings. 

Kick off at Nchanga Stadium is set for 15:00hrs Central African time.
