Statement On President Lungu’s Hardwork

January23, 2018

Zambian DNA commends President Edgar Lungu‘s hardworking culture and dedication to national duties.

Indeed, President Lungu has often been on tour of duty to check on the on-going developmental projects around the country.

In the same vein, just recently, President Lungu directed his ministers and other Government officials to ensure that all unfinished projects countrywide are completed as soon as possible.

The Head of State also encourages his ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), local authorities together with their elected councilors and everyone in position of authority to work hard and be dedicated to duty.

However, some ministers, and local authorities have not performed their duties to the people’s expectation thus a lot of work remains undone.

For example, Local authorities, for a long time until recently, lamentably failed to collect garbage that chocked our cities and towns countrywide with filth that prompted President Lungu to intervene, an initiative which many Zambians appreciate.

We expect ministers and local authorities to emulate President Lungu’s work culture and dedication to duty if the country is to develop with a clean environment that would attract foreign investment.

We believe that a culture of hard work and dedication to duty is bedrock for national development, and ultimate attainment of the Vision 2030 agenda.

Therefore, we urge ministers, local authorities and those in position of authority to pull up their socks so that they can serve the Zambian people diligently.
