STAKEHOLDERS RECEIVE ELECTORAL PROCESS MATERIALS

By Lucy Nampemba-The Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ- has urged political parties to help the commission in dispelling myths that surround election result management.

The commission has urged political parties taking part in the August 12, 2021 General Election to understand the electoral process.

ECZ Vice Chairperson EMILY SIKAZWE said this in DUBAI – the United Arab Emirates when the commission distributed electoral process materials to stakeholders monitoring the printing of ballot papers for the General Election.

Among the stakeholders in DUBAI are representatives of political parties, law enforcement agencies and civil society.

Dr. SIKAZWE who has been leading staff from the commission monitoring the printing process has since handed over to Commissioner ALI SIMWINGA and his team to continue with the process as she and her team return to Zambia.

And giving an update on the printing process, ECZ Director, Electoral Operations ROYD KATONGO said 56 percent of ballot papers in all the election types at Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Government levels, have been printed.

ALGHURAIR Printing and publishing company has been contracted by ECZ to print ballots for the General Election.

Zambia Goes to the polls on August,12, 2021.
