Speaker Mutti calls for enhanced climate change action

Speaker of the National Assembly NELLY MUTTI has called for collective action in addressing diverse issues affecting the country like Climate Change.

The Speaker says there is need to create synergies that will allow ideas to be shared on how best Zambia can address emerging issues through a Multidisciplinary approach.

She has since singled out Sport as one of the many platforms that can be used to educate the masses on the importance of mitigating climate change and promoting water bodies like the Zambezi River.

The Speaker was speaking when she graced the corporate social football match, between the Members of Parliament and Diplomats accredited to Zambia.

And Sports Minister, ELVIS NKANDU says athletes and the environmentalists should use various platforms to raise awareness on issues of climate change .

The Game that was played for 70 minutes saw the Diplomats thrash the Parliamentarians by three goals to two.
