Solwezi Central Constituency completes funding for 98 cooperatives

Lupindula Mwewa-Solwezi Central Constituency has completed the disbursement of grants worth over K1.9m to 98 cooperatives under the 2022 Constituency Development Fund – CDF.

Speaking during the handover of grants to the last 25 cooperatives, Solwezi Central Constituency CDF Chairperson GEOFFREY NJOLOMBA said 98 cooperatives have been fully funded under the grants component.

Mr. NJOLOMBA also said 22 community projects have been funded in all the 12 wards at a cost of K13.9 million kwacha using CDF.

He revealed that 135 pupils have been sponsored under the secondary schools bursary at a cost of K546,000.

And Solwezi Central Constituency Member of Parliament STAFFORD MULUSA expressed happiness that most students that have been sponsored under CDF have continued with their studies.

Mr. MULUSA said the Government is determined to revise the CDF guidelines for easy access by the beneficiaries and to ensure speedy implementation of the projects.
