Smart Zambia to operationalize 200 services on govt bus

ZANIS-Smart Zambia National Coordinator PERCIVE CHINYAMA says his institution targets to have about 200 services operational on the government bus before the end of this year.

Mr CHINYAMA says some of these service buses includes the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) e-services and Procurement of Firearms on the GSB, among others.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on newly appointed Muchinga Permanent Secretary HENRY MUKUNGULE at his office, Mr CHINYAMA further stated that Smart Zambia has successfully connected the new General Hospital in Muchinga Province to the government wide area network.

He said the objective is to ensure that Hospitals are connected to internet in order to utilize electronic services.

And Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary HENRY MUKUNGULE said the commitment by government to expedite the process of going electronic with government services is highly commendable.

Meanwhile, Chinsali General Hospital Acting Medical Superintendent, DIRK WILLIS said the connectivity of the Hospital to a wide area network will go a long way in improving service delivery to clients.

Dr WILLIS said the move by Government is a welcome step to the health staff at the new Hospital.
