SLAPDEE SAYS SORRY,WITHDRAWS NOMINATION

Rapper Slapdee has asked  his management to withdraw his nomination for the AFRIMMA award as best male Southern Africa “as a sign of remorse”.
Slapdee whose real name is Mwila Musonda says its pointless to “win a trophy when you can’t win the hearts of your own people”.
He said this in a post on his facebook page where he clearly apologized to fans saying “I’m sorry for all the damage I may have caused to any of you”.
Slapdee said he “took his influence for granted and made a selfish decision” in reference to doing a song for the former ruling party.
“I let down the very people I should have fought for and stood by. For that I am HONESTLY SORRY. I write this not to win sympathy over the on-going nomination but purely for a smooth and peaceful life with those I may have hurt. Indeed mistakes were made and lessons have been learnt,” Slapdee said.
He also refuted a rumor that he ever said  “fans don’t put food on my table..” He says he knows better than that because he  was “built by a loyal fan base”.
