SKILLS TRAINING INSTITUTIONS ASSURED

Community Development and Social Services Minister DOREEN MWAMBA says she will ensure that all skills training institutions under her ministry are accredited with TEVETA.

Mrs. MWAMBA says the ministry is working on ensuring that all institutions are accredited.

She says this will ensure that graduating students have supporting documentation to start their businesses or to lobby for contracts.

Speaking when she addressed students at Katete Skills Training Centre, Mrs. MWAMBA said skills development is important because it provide different employment opportunities.

Mrs. MWAMBA said the Free Education Policy which has increased the attendance rate among pupils has provided a demand for more desks in schools.

She said youths must take advantage of this to be able to supply desks to schools.

Mrs. MWAMBA said the increased allocation of Constituency Development Fund – CDF- will also increase construction projects and also provide demand for bricklaying services.
