Siyuni Appears Before JCC

Paul Shalala-Director of Public Prosecutions LILLIAN SIYUNI has appeared before the Judicial Complaints Commission -JCC- following complaints filed by various people and institutions over her conduct.

Ms. SIYUNI, who earlier raised a preliminary issue that the Attorney General must represent her since she is a Government official, is represented by former Solicitor General ABRAHAM MWANSA.

Among those who filed complaints to the JCC against her are Musician and Activist FUMBA CHAMA popularly known as PILATO, Ultimate Insurance Corporation and the opposition Movement for Multi-Party Democracy- MMD.

MMD President NEVERS MUMBA and several party officials attended the hearing which was held at the Supreme Court.
