SHEPOLOPOLO DEPART FOR JAPAN

By Wilson Mulinda- The National Women’s football team has departed for Japan ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.

And speaking shortly after departure, Shepolopolo Coach BRUCE MWAPE said Zambia should expect a committed performance from the team in their maiden appearance.

MWAPE said the girls have been putting in their best during training and there are no injury concerns.

He said the team is motivated to prove critics wrong and bring pride to the country.

Meanwhile, Shepolopolo Captain BARBARA BANDA said the team targets to advance past the group stage with ease.

BANDA said it is important for all football fans to rally behind the team as that will make a difference in improved performance.
