Shamujompa a doubt against Kansanshi

Defender Isaac Shamujompa might miss Zanaco’s MTN Super League match against Kansanshi Dynamos.

The Mabanga Boys will host the bankers at Solwezi’s Independence Stadium on Wednesday in a rescheduled week 1 match.

Shamujompa, a winter signing from Buildcon has been struggling with a harmstring injury.

Last Thursday in the 2-0 win over Chambishi at Sunset Stadium, the 27 year old ball playing centre back limped off and was replaced by debutant Christopher Mhango.

Despite passing a late fitness test to feature against Indeni on Sunday, the former Nchanga Rangers defender sat out Monday’s light training session in Solwezi.

Team news from Kansanshi is that midfielder Victor Mubanga will start his three match suspension after his red card against Lusaka Dynamos.

Scorer Loyd Alufunso is expected to start ahead of the misfiring Zikuru Adams and Davy Daka.

Former Zambia international Bruce Musakanya once attended trials at Portuguese top side Porto.

Daniel Chama, Mathews Maleka and one time FC Porto trialist Bruce Musakanya are expected to start and trouble the likes Kelvin Kapumpu, Boyd Musonda and Salulani Phiri in midfield for Zanaco.

Zanaco striker Emmanuel Manda is the one to watch upfront.

Zanaco are currently in the drop zone with 17 points while Kansanshi Dynamos have 19 points.
