SENIOR CHIEF AMUKENA MWAKWETI ISITEKETO DIES

Senior Chief AMUKENA MAKWETI ISITEKETO Lewanika of Naliele Royal Village in Kaoma district in Western Province has died.

The Barotse Royal Establishment Prime Minister, MUKELA MANYANDO announced the the death of the chief at a press briefing at the Kuta in Limulunga.

The Ngambela said the Chief passed on Wednesday at Fairview Hospital in Lusaka.

The Ngambela has since appealed to the people of Naliele to remain calm and support the first family and the Kuta.

The Ngambela said appropriate preparations of the funeral and the burial of the late senior leader are underway to give him a befitting burial.

The late traditional leader had jurisdiction over Kaoma, Nkeyema and Luampa districts of Western province.
