Samu joins the team of choice

Zambian forward Friday Samu has joined South African side Maritzburg United, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Samu who has been in South Africa since the mid this month has penned a two year deal with the team of choice.

An official announcement from Maritzburg United is expected to be made later today.

The forward has finally left Green Buffaloes after spending 9 years at the club.

The lanky forward leads the top scorers chart for the 2021/2022 season with 14 goals to his name so far which include a five goal feat against Indeni in October.

Maritzburg United are currently 13th on the DSTV premiership log table with 15 points to their name.

At the Harry Gwala Stadium, Samu will have to battle for a place in the starting lineup with French-born forward Amadou Soukouna and Richard Zumah.
