Sampa Remains PF President After Injunction Discharge

By Hannock Kasama

The LUSAKA High Court has discharged the Exparte Injunction that earlier restrained newly elected Patriotic Front-PF President MILES SAMPA from holding himself out in the position until further notice.

This means that Mr. SAMPA remains PF President until further Court Order.

LUSAKA High Court Judge SITUMBEKO CHOCHO has discharged the Exparte Order on ground that the GIVEN LUBINDA led PF faction Secretary General RAPHAEL NAKACHINDA did not give full disclosure of the other PF’s proceedings before LUSAKA High Court Judge TIMOTHY
ATENEKWA.

The Proceedings before Judge KATENEKWA hinges on the Restraining Order against  Mr. LUBINDA not to hold himself out as PF Acting President.

The Court Order also restrained former PF Acting Secretary General from holding himself out in the position.

The Application for injunction was filed by Mr. SAMPA.

Meanwhile, Judge CHOCHO has maintained November 27, 2023 for an inter parte hearing in the matter where the GIVEN LUBINDA camp have contested the election of Mr. SAMPA as PF President.

Mr. SAMPA is being represented by LUSAKA lawyer JEAH MADAIKA.

Mr. SAMPA was elected as PF president at a convention in LUSAKA, where he beat six other candidates.
