Sakulanda lands Arrows first win of the season as LD hold Buildcon

Red Arrows finally recorded their first win of the season as they edged Green Eagles 1-0 in a Military derby at Nkoloma Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Crispin Sakulanda’s first-half strike was enough to seal a hard-fought win for the Airmen.

The match was not without drama as Warren Kunda scored in the 83rd minute but the referee ruled it out in very unclear circumstances which left more questions than answers.

The win takes Arrows to 15th with four points whole Eagles remain 11th with 6 points.

In the earlier match, Lusaka Dynamos and Buildcon played out to a 1-1 draw in a lunchtime kick-off.

Lubinda Mundia put the visitors in the lead just after three minutes, as he finished off a Tapson Kaseba cross with a well-taken strike inside the area.

Collins Sikombe rescued a point for Elite with a 66th-minute fine strike as Chris Kaunda’s side maintained their unbeaten run so far this season.
