SAFADA introduces a new organic fertilizer in Zambia

…The product has an active ingredient that remediate the soil to it’s original Perfect Balance of 6 . 4 PH to promote high yield and protect the soil

Lusaka – (23-09-18) The Small Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) has partnered with a United States of America based Greener Answer LLC to provider a new organic fertilizer to the Zambia farmers.

Greener Answer LLC International Sales Director Itai Zanamwe told journalists in an interview at Radison Blu Hotel in Lusaka that two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will see his company supply the organic fertilizer and SAFADA will distribute the product to the Zambian farmers.

Zanamwe said the new organic fertilizer which SAFADA will distribute on behalf of his company in Zambia has been formulated with an active ingredient that have the capacity to remediate the soil to it’s original perfect balance of 6.4 which is a required standard of crop production

According to Zanamwe, the type of organic fertilizer, he called Natural Always Nature Agriculture Answer (NANO – AG- ANSWER) that is being introduced in Zambia for the first time can be applied any stage of crop production but before harvesting.

He said the advantage of the NANO-AG – ANSWER fertilizer is that it not only increases the top soil that is needed for farming by the beneficial bacteria to crops but also help the plant to develop long roots to reach water level.

He also clarified that the use of NANO – AG – ANSWER fertilizer is also designed at detoxing the poisoned soil by traditional fertilizer and will make nature safe again.

Unlike traditional fertilizer, NANO – AG – ANSWER has no side effect which are harmful to human and animal life, including aqueous life.

Besides, Zanamwe explained, the product will help the soil to keep water longer and maintain the plant fresh longer during the dry spell.

He explained that a farmer that intend to use this particular organic fertilizer has an option to spray at the seed before planting and then plant it after two days or can spray directly at the plant.

“Alternatively, a farmer can spray on top of the soil while the seed is underground but before the seed begin to germinate.”

It was the considered view of Zanama that organisation fertilizer is applied, will immediate begin to act on both the soil as explained above and on the plan by developing coat that is not only resistance but will repel the pastes away from it.

He explained that the plant that has been fortified with NANO – AG – ANSWER will be protected by a shield that will be protected by an active ingredient found in the product.

Although it is advisable to use this type of fertilizer regularly, Zanamwa explained, the product will remain in the soil for a period longer than five years.

He observed that one sachet of the organization fertilizer, it is equal to 16 bags of ordinary chemical fertilizer.

What this means is that, the farmers that will get used to using this organic fertilizer will cut the cost associated with the procurement of traditional fertilizer.

He said this is the way forward in terms of the future for agriculture and cure for the environment.

And  SAFADA Director Boyd Moobwe expressed happiness that his company has partnered with Greener Answer LLC to promote safe farming methods in Zambia through the use of organic fertilizer.

Moobwe said in an exclusive interview everywhere in the world, the use of traditional fertilizer is being discouraged because it is not safe for the environment.

After reading and understanding the profile for NANO -AG – ANSWER fertilizer, Moobwe explained, he is convinced beyond doubt that the problems affecting farmers in Zambia today in terms of the provisions of the Fertilizer Input Support Program will now be solved.

He regretted that failure by the farmers to get the FISP on time has always been a major contribution factor to the failed project in the agriculture system in Zambia.

Now that NANO – AG – ANSWER is here in Zambia, Moobwe said SAFADA’s focus will be not only to sensitization the farmers to know the product but also to convince the government of Zambia to embrace the product.

He also appealed to the government to not only to support the initiative but also proposed that NANO – AG -ANSWER be sold through the e – voucher system.
