S.P. GETS CHEMICALS TO FIGHT ARMY WORMS

(NAIS) The Ministry of Agriculture, in the Southern province, has dispatched over 9,700 litres of chemicals to contain army worms which have infested some crop fields.

Southern Province Agricultural Coordinator, MAX CHOOMBE saying government has further delivered 225 sprayers to the region.

Dr CHOOMBE says the chemicals will be proportionally distributed according to infestation to all the 15 districts in the Southern province.

And Senior Field Crops Officer, NOVAS SOMANJE says Kalomo and Sinazongwe districts have the highest hectarage of crop fields attacked by the army worms.
