RTSA TO LAUNCH ICT MOBILE APP

The Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA- will launch a newly developed ICT mobile application meant to enhance road safety and traffic management.

The application which is currently operational uses a mobile phone to scan a vehicle registration number to check tax validity, insurance and fitness.

RTSA Public relations Manager Frederick Mubanga has disclosed that the Agency is working in line with the new government policy direction to ensure RTSA is looking at leveraging ICT to employ road sanity.

In addition RTSA has enhanced motorized patrols and deployed some officers to monitor the   flow of traffic.

Mr. Mubanga was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news.
