RTSA Boss Zindaba Soko steps aside
ROAD Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) Chief Executive Officer Zindaba Soko has written to the Ministry of Transport and Communications requesting for leave in order to pave way for investigation in his alleged case of money laundering activities.
Last month, the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) searched Soko’s house for alleged money laundering case related to the Road Traffic Management System levelled against him.
And Transport and Communications Minister Brian Mushimba has confirmed that Soko has written to his ministry requesting for leave so that he can pave way for smooth investigations.
“As part of good corporate governance practice, Mr. Soko wants the investigation process to proceed without any perceived interference from his office and allow the law to take its course,” Mushimba said in a statement.
And Mushimba said that he has approved the request for leave.
