Rodgers keeps Patson Daka on the bench in Leicester’s vital win over Leeds

Zambian striker Patson Daka was one of the unused substitutes in Leicester City’s massive 1-0 win over Leeds United in English Premier League.

Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers opted to start with club legend Jamie Vardy as a lone striker.

With the game still goalless Rodgers replaced the 35 year old Vardy with Nigerian striker Kelechi Ịheanachọ on the hour mark.

Seven minutes after that substitution, winger Harvey Barnes scored for the foxes to earn them maximum points.

While Daka did not come on, the Chipolopolo striker has been involved in the past 2 months in Vardy’s absence.

Daka has made 13 league appearances in his debut season in England with a return of 4 goals.

He has further scored 6 goals in 7 games in Europe [5 Europa and 1 in Conference League] to lead the goal scoring charts.
