RHOMA COMMENDS LUNGU ON KK FUNERAL

By Ruth Chayinda- Rhoma Foreign Relations Institute has commended President EDGAR LUNGU for according Zambia’s founding father and global icon KENNETH KAUNDA a befitting 21-day national mourning and state funeral.

Mr. BWALYA says the institute is impressed with the unity of purpose demonstrated at the burial of Dr. KAUNDA who was put to rest on Wednesday July 7, 2021.

He has also welcomed the declaration by President LUNGU of April 28 as a public holiday in honor of Dr. KAUNDA saying it is a remarkable gesture and one that deserves commendation from all well-meaning Zambians.

Mr. BWALYA said in a statement issued to ZNBC News in Lusaka today that the level of sobriety and togetherness demonstrated by all politicians during the burial reaffirmed the one Zambia one Nation motto coined by Dr. KAUNDA.

He has since encouraged all stakeholders in the forthcoming election to honor and recognize Dr. KAUNDA’s legacy by being peaceful during campaigns and voting.
