“REVAMPING OF TAZARA WILL HELP CUT FUEL PRICES”

Former Mufulira Member of Parliament EVANS CHIBANDA says the revamping of the Tanzania-Zambia Railways -TAZARA- will bring about economic growth for Zambia.

Dr. CHIBANDA further says actualising the agreements to expand the TAZAMA Pipeline following change in objectives from transportation of crude oil to finished products is another right step that will ensure cheap fuel.

In an interview with ZNBC News, Dr. CHIBANDA observed that Zambia is getting fuel at a higher cost because of transportation, adding that once the TAZAMA pipeline is rehabilitated it will help in reducing the cost of fuel.

He has further requested government to consider doing another pipeline between Zambia and Angola through North Western Province and take advantage of Angola’s crude oil production.
