Results to be announced after 48 hours

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says it will announce the results of Thursday’s general elections after 48 hours.

ECZ Chairman Justice Easau Chulu said after results are delivered to the totaling the centre, the Commission should announce the results in two days time.

The ECZ Chairman said all is set for the general elections adding that all materials have been delivered to respective locations.

Zambia goes to the polls to elect leaders at presidential level, Parliamentary level and Local Government. The country will also vote in the referendum.
