“REDUCE THE COST OF CHICKENS”

By Ruth Chayinda-Former Kantanshi member of Parliament ANTHONY MUMBA has advised the Ministry of Livestock and the Poultry Association of Zambia to come up with strategies that will reduce the cost of chickens.

Dr. MUMBA says the cost of chickens have continued to rise which is an issue of concern for small-scale farmers as well as consumers.

He says most poultry business have limited stock of chicks which has a long-term effect in the sector as full-grown chickens will be expensive.

He said this in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka today.

Dr. MUMBA also noted that through strategies put in place, the country will be able to take advantage on the opportunities in the livestock sector.
