REA SIGNS MOU

The Rural Electrification Authority -REA- has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Zambia Cooperative Federation Limited to increase people’s access to electricity in rural areas through the solar milling plants which have been installed by the Federation.REA Chief Executive Officer, Clement Silwavwe says the Authority is committed to delivering solutions that will transform and improve the quality of life for people in rural areas.Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr. Silavwe said the partnership with ZCF is of important as it will enable electricity generation resource from solar milling plants that already exist in different parts of of the country.And ZCF Director General, James Chirwa said the partnership will help unlock the potential in rural areas.
