RB URGES ZAMBIANS TO REGISTER AS VOTERS

 

By Etambuyu Katota-Fourth Republican President Rupiah Banda has urged Zambians to register as voters in the ongoing registration exercise for them to be able to choose a leader of their choice.

Mr. Banda says as a former President, he understands the importance of registering, saying he had to leave the hospital where he is currently receiving treatment, to register.

He has commended Zambians who have registered as voters and appealed to those who have not yet done so to immediately take advantage of the few days remaining before the exercise ends.

Mr. Banda has also urged Zambians to choose a candidate of their choice and not allow anyone to impose any candidate on them.

The former president who was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News shortly after registering as a Voter at Lima C in Lusaka’s Lilayi area.

AND Mr. Banda who recently announced that he has been diagnosed with colon cancer said it has been a tough time for him.

He said he is happy with the response from the doctors and is recovering steadily.

Mr. Banda also appealed to Zambians to continue praying for his recovery.
