Information permanent secretary AMOS MALUPENGA has dispelled rumors circulating on social media platforms alleging that Fourth Republican President RUPIAH BANDA has died.

Mr. MALUPENGA says the rumor is unfounded as the former head of state is in good health and NOT admitted to any health facility.

He has since advised the public to use social media with greater responsibility in this difficult times especially when the nation is experiencing increased death due to the upsurge in COVID 19 cases.

Mr. MALUPENGA has urged all citizens to continue mourning founding father Dr KENNETH KAUNDA, the country’s Chief Justice IRENE MAMBILIMA and other several citizen both prominent and least known who died in the recent past.

This according to statement issued to ZNBC News by Mr. MALUPENGA.

And in an interview from DUBAI, Mr. BANDA said he is feeling much better after undergoing treatment and looks forward to returning home.

Mr. BANDA said he feels so sad to be returning home without Dr. KAUNDA .
