Punish traffic police disregarding road block ban-Mwembeshi lawmaker

Hector Simfukwe-Mwembeshi Member of Parliament MACHILA JAMBA has urged government and the Police Command to ensure that traffic officers who disregard the ban on the mounting of illegal road blocks are punished.

Mr. JAMBA says some officers have deliberately ignored the directive hoping that government would change its decision.

He says traffic officers cannot continue extorting money from citizen through mounting of illegal road blocks and sap check points.

Mr. JAMBA told ZNBC News that Homes Affairs Minister and the Police Command should send a serious warning that they mean business by dealing with the culprit.
