PSMFC GIVES OUT K22Om IN LOANS

The Public Service Micro Finance Company has this year disbursed over 220 million Kwacha in loans, an increase from last year’s over 1-hundred and 33-million Kwacha.

Company Chief Executive Officer MUBANGA MWIKO has also revealed that the company in 2020 made over 13-million Kwacha profit with anticipation of an increase this year.

Mr. MWIKO says of the total loans, about 6.2 million Kwacha went towards the agriculture sector compared to last year’s 5 point 3 million Kwacha.

Meanwhile Mr. MWIKO has disclosed that the company is expecting to disburse more than 3-hundred million Kwacha worth of loans next year.

He said the loan recovery this year has been good compared to last year owing to challenges brought about by Covid-19.

Mr. MWIKO was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka today.
