PROVIDE GUIDANCE ON CHIEF INSTALLATION -SICHALWE

(ZANIS) Government has urged the Lamba Lima Royal Council of Chiefs to provide guidance in the installation process of Senior Chief Mushili of the Lamba speaking people of Masaiti district.

Chiefs and traditional affairs minister Lawrence Sichalwe says succession disputes have become rampant and have continued to hamper development in various chiefdoms in the country.

Mr. Sichalwe says succession disputes have caused instability in many chiefdoms thereby scaring potential investors.

He was speaking during the burial procession of Senior Chief Mushili the sixth of the Lamba Lima speaking people who died on 31st January 2021.

And, Masaiti member of parliament Micheal Katambo who is also Agriculture Minister said the traditional leader contributed immensely to the development of the district.

Meanwhile, Copperbelt Province Minister Japhen Mwakalombe said the late chief was a dedicated pioneer in the development of the health sector in the province.
