Prison Leopards, LD, and Arrows record wins as Forest and Buffaloes share spoils

After so much banter, the match was buzzed with so much entertainment. It has been tipped as a contender for game of the season. It was a balanced affair with end to end stuff, especially in the first half. Green Buffaloes were the first to find the back of the net in the 17th minute through veteran forward Chipili Mungule before the Quadri Kola equalized for Forest Rangers from the spot when Ameru Moro was fouled in the 18 yards.
In the second half, the tempers were raised even on the technical bench with Forest Rangers assistant coach Happy Sichikolo receiving a straight red card for using abusive language towards match officials. The goalkeeper for Forest Rangers Mathias Kigonya was the busier of the two and walked away with the man of the match award for keeping Green Buffaloes at bay in a match they would have won. Forest Rangers search for a win against Green Buffaloes which dates to as far back as 2017 continues as they have failed to beat them in 6 attempts now, only managing 3 draws with the rest being defeats.
As predicted and expected, Red Arrows managed to keep a clean sheet and score more than once against Young Green Eagles who have been reserved with their play so far this season. Red Arrows played with vigor, commanding respect in all departments with Felix Bulaya causing a lot of problems to Young Green Eagles. Paul Kateme scored the opened net just 3 minutes into the match with Felix Bulaya adding a 2nd in the 82nd minute to give Arrows a third deserved victory of the season. If Young Green Eagles are to remain in the super league they need to up their game especially the creative midfielders and strikers who have always looked lost in most matches, they are a team not playing with confidence and they don’t seem to be sure if being in the super league is the right thing for them.
The unbeaten run at home has ended for Dabid Chilufya drilled Indeni FC who were paid a visit by Wedson Nyirenda coached Lusaka Dynamos. Lusaka Dynamos showed the zeal of winning the match from the first whistle with Emmanuel Chabula finding the back of the net in the 21st minute but was adjudged to have fouled Charles Lawu Indeni FC goalkeeper before he slotted home an incident which was serious as he failed to continue and was rushed to hospital with Joshua Titima taking up his role who after 13 minutes of introduction conceded through a collins sikombe strike.
The goal was the first Indeni have conceded at home this season which proved costly as it resulted in their first home defeat. The goal scorer Collins Sikombe was also forced off in the 91st minute with an injury. Lusaka Dynamos played with a slight edge, forcing indeni FC to do a lot of defensive work and it was a cagey affair with lots of stoppages due to injuries. The one-nil scoreline was the final result.
It is the fortress for teams visiting it, President Stadium has been a nightmare for super league teams going to play from it with only one team Red Arrows so far failing to be caged as they managed to escape the wrath.
Hosting buildcon, Flamboyant Prison Leopards were expected to outsmart Buildcon who are having defensive issues. David Obash scored for Prison Leopards the only goal of the match in the 8th minute.
Second half Buildcon tried to force things to pick up a point but they failed to initiate well-coordinated attacks and in the end, they trailed Prison Leopards with a one-nil loss.
