Presidential trips will prove beneficial-State House

Mwila Nsofu-State House says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is confident that the efforts being made to open up and link Zambia to trade and investment opportunities in countries within the region, continent and the global market space, will pay dividends.

Presidential Spokesperson, ANTHONY BWALYA says it is important to realize, that an expanded Zambian trade and investment footprint, both at home and beyond, is the only way the country will translate economic potential.

Mr. BWALYA says the gains will translate into real results for jobs, better incomes for Zambians and improved living conditions for all.

He told ZNBC News in Lusaka that expanding Zambia’s trade and investment volumes into other countries and regions require a lot of high level economic diplomatic engagements.

Mr. BWALYA said this is where President HICHILEMA must and will from time to time meet with his foreign counterparts to unlock critical economic opportunities for Zambia and Zambian companies.

He said the President will continue to undertake all necessary economic diplomatic engagements, including those requiring the President to physically travel.

Mr. BWALYA however said utmost care and prudence will continue to be taken to ensure all travels undertaken by the President are beneficial to the growth and development agenda of Zambia.
