PRAY FOR PEACEFUL ELECTIONS-MWAKALOMBE

By Robert Mwanza:

Chongwe Member of Parliament Japhen Mwakalombe has appealed to the Church to pray for a violence-free 2021 general election.

Mr. Mwakalombe says this is so because no individual is bigger than Zambia.

He further called on the Church to pray for leaders so that they can lead with wisdom.

Mr. Mwakalombe, who is also Copperbelt province Minister, says the Church should also mentor congregants to always preach love and live in peace.

The Chongwe Law maker said this when he donated 1-hundred pockets of cement and blocks worth over 13-thousand kwacha to three Churches and a clinic in Chongwe constituency today.

The three Churches are Reformed Church in Zambia – RCZ, Lutheran Central Africa and Chikondi Baptist.

And RCZ Chongwe congregation elder Penias Tembo thanked Mr. Mwakalombe for the gesture while assuring him the Church will continue to pray for leaders and the nation to ensure peaceful polls this year.

Meanwhile, Lutheran Central Africa Church Chairperson Phillimon Chipokolo thanked the MP for his tireless efforts in ensuring that he visits his constituency regularly.

Earlier, Mr. Mwakalombe met several headmen and women in the area.
