PPPs KEY TO DEVELOPMENT – MWAMBA

Government says Public Private Partnerships – PPPs are a key component in the New Dawn administration’s development agenda.

Community Development and Social Services Minister DOREEN MWAMBA says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA wants strengthened partnerships with the private sector because government cannot deliver development alone.

Ms. MWAMBA says government has an ambitious agenda to eliminate poverty and hunger hence the continued engagement of strategic partners.

Speaking when she toured a Community led approach to development enterprise hub currently under construction in Vubwi District, Ms. MWAMBA said government values such a partnership as it will enhance efforts to promote nutrition and end hunger.

And, Hunger Project Zambia National Programme Director SAMUEL MUTAMBO said construction of the multipurpose facility will be concluded by August this year.

Mr. MUTAMBO said the facility is meant to strengthen government efforts to address hunger and nutrition and promote national food security.
