POULTRY SECTOR GROWTH NODDED

Executive has commended the poultry sector for exporting poultry and poultry merchandise valued at 33 million Kwacha to the Southern Africa Pattern Neighborhood and the big lakes regions in a single quarter.
Minister of Fisheries and Cattle Kampamba Mulenga says 336 metric tones of hatching eggs valued at 17 million kwacha and 22 metric tones of day worn chicks valued at 14 million Kwacha were exported between April and June this year.
Ms. Mulenga stated this throughout the Sixteenth Poultry Association of Zambia Annual Fashioned Assembly held in Mulungushi Convention Centre in Lusaka beneath the theme “development amidst Offer Challenges”
And speaking earlier, Zambia Nationwide Farmers Union President, Jervis Zimba stated quasi authorities institutions equivalent to Councils, Water Sources Management Company and the Food Reserve Company are irritating President Edgar Lungu’s vision to get Zambia a meals basket in the verbalize.
Mr. Zimba stated levies, taxes and prices imposed by these institutions are stressing farmers and have resulted in a pair agriculture projects across the country to conclude.
Meanwhile Poultry Association of Zambia Nationwide Chairman Rodney Sisala says access to finance aloof remains a most indispensable deterrent to the growth of the poultry sector especially for tiny and medium scale farmers.
