POLICE WARN ESTHER LUNGU SUPPORTERS

By Brian Mwale-

Police has warned anyone who will illegally assemble at the Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- on Tuesday  when former First Lady ESTHER LUNGU appears for questioning.

Inspector General of Police LEMMY KAJOBA says police shall not allow any person to break the law with impunity.

Mr. KAJOBA says police are aware of the recordings were well known people are challenging the police and planning to cause mayhem by bringing students from the Copperbelt.

He has advised youths not to be used as tools to disrupt peace.

Mr. KAJOBA adds that police have deployed enough officers on the route from the Copperbelt to Lusaka to ensure that no bus or vehicle carrying suspected protesters will be allowed to come to Lusaka and cause mayhem.

He said such vehicles will be impounded and the occupants detained.

Mr. KAJOBA says it is a normal practice for Law Enforcement Agencies when making an inquiry to call someone for an interview.

This is contained in a statement availed to ZNBC News in Lusaka.
