POLICE FORMALY CHARGE AND ARREST 4 FOR MUVI TV THEFT

Police have formally charged and arrested four suspects in connection with a break in at Muvi Television last week.

The four suspects who include two security guards from a security firm that was providing security at MUVI Television, have been identified as KAMBANI KAPILA 43, KAMPAMBA MWAPE 23, KELVIN KAMBILA and SHOWNSLOUS MWANZA.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer DANNY MWALE says the suspects remain in Police custody awaiting court appearance.

And Mr. MWALE says Police have apprehended three more suspects in connection with the Malicious Damage to Property involving Capital Bus Services popularly known as Flash buses which happened on Sunday.

He says the three suspects have been identified as BARTHLOMEL CHIWALA 17, DICKSON PHIRI 21 and TEDDY MWANZA also 21.

Mr. MWALE adds that all the four suspects are detained in custody while a manhunt for the other accomplices is still ongoing.

This is according to a statement availed to ZNBC News in Lusaka.
