Police arrest UPPZ President Charles Chanda over land

POLICE in Lusaka have charged UPPZ President Charles Chanda with 160 counts of collecting money by false pretences.
And police has further warned and cautioned Chanda for the stated offences.
This was after heavily armed police today between 12:00 hours and 13:00 hours picked Chanda from Lusaka Magistrate Complex where he was appearing in a civil case.
Confirming this to Mwebantu in a statement, Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said Chanda has been charged is a matter where unsuspecting members of the public paid for pieces of land which he advertised to have been on sale however but did not avail to them.
